CDL-A Local Truck Driver — Home Daily, $1,690–$1,770/wk

Drive a set local route out of the Hudson Valley and be back in your own bed each night. Our company in Montgomery, NY 12549 is hiring CDL-A drivers for dry van freight that comes pre-loaded, so you won't be handling it at either end.

Pay

• Average weekly take-home of $1,690-$1,770, around $89,000 a year

• Built from $0.69 per mile, $70 per day, and $25 per stop

• $3,000 sign-on bonus possible for new hires (conditions apply)

Home time

You're home daily. The work week runs Sunday through Thursday with a start time near 6:00 PM, and about once or twice a month you'll pick up a sixth day.

What you'll haul

You'll run the same lanes repeatedly, delivering dry van loads to the same stops across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland, with minimal time spent in NYC. Plan on roughly 8 stops per route. Shippers load the trailer ahead of time, and you'll handle a live unload at the customer without touching freight yourself. Equipment is automatic day cabs with 48' or 53' trailers, and the truck stays on-site when you're off.

Requirements

• Active Class A CDL

• Minimum 3 months of solo driving under your belt

• Must live within 40 miles of Montgomery, NY 12549

• Open to evening shifts and occasional 6-day stretches

• No HazMat endorsement required

• Not open to drivers currently in the SAP program
