CDL-A Local P&D Driver — Average $81,000/Year

Our company needs a local pickup-and-delivery driver in Albuquerque, NM to move freight between the service center and customer locations. You'll handle loading, unloading and securing freight in addition to driving.

Pay

• Pick up & Delivery Drivers at OD average $81,000 per year

• New graduates of an approved trucking school can qualify for the Tuition Reimbursement Program

Schedule

• Working days are Monday through Friday

• Shift is mornings

• Days and shifts can shift based on business needs

What you'll haul

• LTL freight moved between company service centers and customer sites within the local service area

• You'll sort, load and unload freight using forklifts, pallet jacks or by hand, and secure loads with straps, pallets or rope

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with double/triple trailer, tanker and hazmat endorsements

• Acceptable driving record

• At least 12 months of tractor-trailer experience, or a graduate of an approved driving school, or completion of Old Dominion's own driver training program

• Minimum age 22

• Able to meet DOT medical standards and pass drug and alcohol screening

• Comfortable using a handheld tablet and communicating by two-way radio or phone

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Physically able to sit for up to 11 hours, climb in and out of the cab repeatedly, lift and carry freight up to 100 pounds, push or pull loads up to 500 pounds with equipment, and handle freight weighing as much as 50,000 pounds per trailer

• Must be able to operate a manual transmission and work in all weather conditions
