CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver — Home Daily, 4-Day Week, $1,200–$1,800/wk

Run local intermodal routes out of the Avenel terminal, moving containers to and from the railyard on a 4-day schedule. You'll be home every day and can choose day or night shift.

Schedule

• Work Thursday through Sunday or Friday through Monday, a 4-day week

• Day or night shift options

• Home daily

What you'll haul

• Containers picked up and dropped off along the railways

• Drop and hook along with load/live unload and preload work

• No-touch freight

Pay

• $55 per load, plus $0.61 per mile

• Typically 3 to 4 loads per day

• Up to 1,700 dedicated miles weekly

• Average weekly pay of $1,200 to $1,800

• Paid as a W2 employee

• Paid orientation

Equipment

• Newer automatic Freightliners from a major nationwide carrier fleet

Requirements

• CDL-A with at least 6 months of tractor trailer experience in the past year

• No terminations from your most recent driving job

• No accidents or incidents in the past year

• Drug screening is by hair follicle test; SAP drivers not accepted

• Your CDL address must match the hiring area, and you must live within 25 to 50 miles of the Avenel terminal (07001)
