About this job
Local intermodal run out of Houston, TX for our company, pulling freight in and out of rail yards. You'll sleep in your own bed every night and get two straight days off each week.
Pay
- $1,000 per week
- Plus $15 per stop, depending on intake
- Short-haul pay is not part of this package
Home time
- Home every day
- Two consecutive days off weekly
- Work week runs Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday, with day or night shifts depending on your assignment
- Shifts last around 12 hours, and timing can change based on freight and customer demands
What you'll haul
- Rail equipment and intermodal containers in local yard work
- A combination of drop-and-hook, live loads, live unloads, and freight that's already loaded for you
Requirements
- Class A CDL
- 3 months or more of driving experience
- A clean record behind the wheel
- Current DOT medical card
- SAP drivers will not be considered
- Ability to handle 12-hour shifts on your assigned day or night rotation
- Willingness to adjust to rail and customer scheduling needs
