CDL-A Local Delivery Driver — Home Nightly, $31.19–$36.71/hr

Our company is hiring CDL-A delivery drivers out of their Champlain, NY yard. You will run local food distribution routes and be home every night.

Pay

• Starting rate of $31.19 per hour, rising to $36.71 per hour once you finish training

• Eligible new hires can receive a $15,000 retention bonus

• Up to $10,000 referral bonus available for qualifying driver referrals

• Weekly paycheck

Schedule

• Routes run Monday through Saturday, with some weeks potentially set up as a 4 or 5 day schedule depending on business needs

• Dispatch times fall between 3:00 AM and 7:00 AM depending on your route, and you work until the route is finished

• Saturday deliveries may be part of your regular rotation

• You return home every night

What you'll haul

• Foodservice products delivered to customer accounts

• You'll unload freight using a hand truck, pallet jack, or by hand, placing it in the customer's designated storage space

• You'll confirm each delivery with the customer, collect signatures, and handle payment or collections when needed

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections are part of every shift

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL from your state of residence with the needed endorsements and DOT qualifications

• At least 21 years old

• Six months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or three months specifically in food or beverage delivery

• Able to drive a manual transmission is preferred and may be required at some locations

• Comfortable lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling product weighing 20 to 80+ lbs repeatedly through the shift

• Able to work outdoors in all weather, with 10 or more stops per shift

• Must read and communicate in English well enough to understand road signs, respond to official requests, and complete reports

• Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is required by the Department of Transportation; details are available at clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov
