About this job
Our company in Hammonton, NJ is looking for a full-time CDL-A driver to cover a blend of local shuttle work and short regional runs. You'll be home most days, though some weeks include an overnight, and night or weekend work comes up when freight demands it.
What you'll haul
- Local shuttles, yard moves, and short regional routes
- Dry van and reefer trailers
- Stops at yards, ports, warehouses, and customer locations
Schedule
- Combination of local and regional driving
- Home daily most of the time, with occasional overnight trips
- Nights and weekends possible depending on customer and freight needs
- Start times can shift day to day
Pay
- $1,000.00 - $2,000.00 per week
- Pay is based on experience, with the exact range discussed openly when you first talk with them
- Steady freight volume and consistent hours
What the job involves
- Pre-trip and post-trip inspections on each run
- Accurate ELD logging
- Staying in close contact with dispatch and operations
- Driving well-kept tractors and trailers
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A
- Comfortable driving manual transmission (not automatic-only restricted)
- TWIC card, or willingness to get one
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Clean enough driving record to qualify
- Open to a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed
Reefer, LTL, or port/intermodal experience is a plus but not required.
