CDL-A Linehaul Road Driver — $0.7377–$0.8539/Mile

Our company is hiring a Road Driver to move trailers between service centers using tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples. This is a CDL-A linehaul role with mileage-based pay plus hourly pay for non-linehaul tasks.

Pay

• $0.7377 to $0.8539 per mile for linehaul work

• $32.20 to $37.27 per hour for non-linehaul duties

• Fixed pay for certain linehaul-related tasks based on a fraction of the hourly rate

What you'll do

• Drive tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples where applicable

• Perform pre-trip and safety inspections

• Hook and unhook trailers and converter dollies

• Keep accurate logs and complete required paperwork

• Follow hazardous materials regulations

• Communicate with dispatch and respond to delays or equipment issues

• Load and unload freight, and occasionally cover city driver or dock duties

Requirements

• Class A CDL with doubles/triples, hazmat, and tank endorsements (hazmat endorsement can be obtained within 120 days of hire)

• 1 year of driving experience in the last 3 years, or completion of the our company Driver Development Course

• Acceptable motor vehicle record

• Must meet DOT qualification standards

• Physical ability to hook/unhook trailers (about 100 lbs of force) and handle extended sitting, bending, and climbing

Working conditions

• Long drives day and night in all weather

• Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials

• Hours may vary; overnight stays possible
