CDL-A Linehaul Driver — Home Daily, $0.7564–$0.8156 CPM

PITT OHIO, a family-owned carrier, is hiring a CDL-A Linehaul Driver out of its Latham, NY terminal. You'll run overnight routes terminal to terminal or to a relay point and return home the same day.

Pay

• Starting rate of $0.7564 cents per mile (CPM)

• Rate increases to $0.8156 cents per mile (CPM) after 6 months on the job

Schedule and home time

• Overnight road runs, typically Monday through Friday night with occasional weekend work

• You return home each day, except in rare cases like bad weather

What you'll haul

• Freight moves terminal to terminal or to a relay point

• You might occasionally pick up or deliver at a customer site

• Some loading, unloading, or freight securing (strapping, pallet jacks, two-wheelers, or forklifts for certified staff) may be part of the job

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A with two years of verifiable interstate driving experience (around 200,000 miles), or one year of verifiable interstate experience plus a diploma from a driving school PITT OHIO accepts

• Hazmat and tanker endorsements required, unless you're a non-CDL driver; if you don't already have them, you'll need to get them within 90 days of starting

• Must pass PITT OHIO's own driving test

• Clean 36-month record: no license suspension or revocation, no serious violations (DUI, reckless driving, hit and run, fleeing police, and similar), and no more than a limited number of at-fault accidents or moving violations depending on combination

• Must pass a DOT physical and a pre-employment drug screen, with negative drug and alcohol results from past employers over the last three years

• No refusals of drug or alcohol testing in the past 36 months, and a clear status in the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse

• Only one valid driver's license, consistent with your state of residence, and full license history for the past 36 months

• Ten-year work history check, with any gaps of 30+ days explained

• Roadside inspection history reviewed through the Pre-Employment Screening Program for the past 36 months

• Steady work history and a cooperative, dependable attitude

• Consent to driver-facing event recorders used across the fleet
