CDL-A Lease Purchase OTR Truck Driver — No Touch Dry Van Freight

Our company LLC / MTE-Leasing is offering a lease purchase program for CDL-A owner-operators to run OTR dry van freight across the lower 48 states. You pick your own loads and schedule, with no forced dispatch, backed by a 24/7 support team based in Michigan.

Pay and bonuses

• Pay is 80% of gross, with an estimated weekly gross average of $6,500

• Weekly pay by direct deposit, no delays

• Earn $500 for every month you run 10k loaded miles

• Get a $500 bonus 30 days after you're hired

• This is a 1099 position, so pay is reported as self-employment income

What you'll haul

• All dry van, no-touch freight, with driver-assist loads available if you want them

• 70% of freight is drop and hook

• Freight mix is 70% steady customer loads and brokered loads

• No HAZMAT, and no runs into Canada or Mexico

The lease program

• Trucks are 2023 or newer Freightliner Cascadia or Kenworth T680 models

• Trucks carry the remaining factory warranty where applicable, plus a 7-day trial period

• $5,000 down payment required, with a loan option available at $300/week

• Weekly lease cost depends on truck year: $750 for a 2023 (3-year lease), $850 for a 2024 (3-year lease), or $950 for a 2025 (4-year lease)

• Lease payments come out of your weekly settlement and go straight to the leasing company

• No credit check, and no interest charged on the lease (pricing is based on a common revenue target)

• A $15,000 balloon/residual payment is due at the end of the lease

• Company covers plates, registration, fuel card, physical insurance, Hwy 2290/IRP, and IFTA reporting costs, which are billed back to you

• Fuel and maintenance discounts are available, though savings depend on volume and which Love's/TA locations are involved

Riders and pets

You can bring a rider or one dog under the company's pet and rider policy.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• At least 3 months of recent, verifiable tractor-trailer experience pulling 48-53ft trailers

• Valid DOT medical card attached to your CDL

• Must reside in one of the approved hiring states: AL, AR, CT, DE, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, LA, KY, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, NE, NH, NJ, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, VT, VA, WV, WI

• SAP applicants are welcome to apply, provided Step 5 of the Return-to-Duty process is complete (CDL-A drivers may use a C/TPA to finish this step)

Benefits

As a 1099 lease operator, you won't receive company-provided benefits, but you'll have the option to buy additional benefits on your own at your own cost.
