About this job
Our company needs a full-time CDL-A Night Shuttle Driver in Johnston, RI. You'll run a day cab tractor with a 53' trailer on overnight shuttle routes between Pyle terminals, Monday through Friday.
Pay
- $36.65 per hour
- Paid weekly every Friday by direct deposit
- Overtime kicks in after 40 hours
Home time
- Home every day, working an overnight Monday-Friday schedule
What you'll haul
- Freight pulled in a 53' trailer behind a day cab tractor, running between Pyle terminal locations
- Trips run overnight
Equipment
- Late-model day cab tractors
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Hazmat endorsement needed from day one
- Tanker endorsement either already held or obtained within your first 90 days
- At least 1 year of recent experience driving tractor-trailers
- Current or obtainable non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- Minimum age 21
- No more than 3 moving violations or accidents combined over the past 3 years (reviewed case by case)
- Solid English communication skills - reading, writing and speaking
- Able to get and keep TSA security clearance
- Responsibilities include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, keeping the tractor and freight secure, and following FMCSA safety rules
