CDL-A Lease Purchase OTR Driver — 80% of Gross Pay

Our company LLC, together with MTE-Leasing, is offering a lease-purchase route for CDL-A drivers who want to run their own truck over the road. The freight is all dry van, mostly no-touch, and you decide which loads to take and how often you head home.

Pay

• You keep 80% of the gross on each load.

• The posting estimates an average weekly gross of $6,500 and a yearly income of $200,000 to $300,000.

• Weekly mileage bonuses: 2,100 loaded miles pays $100, 2,300 pays $225, 2,500 pays $275, and 2,800 pays $350.

• A $500 sign-on bonus is paid once you finish your first 9,000 miles.

• You can take advances of up to $200 a week, and pay arrives by direct deposit every week.

The truck and lease

• Trucks are 2023 or newer Freightliner Cascadia or Kenworth T680 models, with the remaining factory warranty and a 7-day trial period.

• Weekly lease cost: $750 for a 2023 on a 3-year term, $850 for a 2024 on a 3-year term, $950 for a 2025 on a 4-year term. It comes out of your weekly settlement and goes to the leasing company.

• You need $5,000 down. A loan for the down payment is available at $300 a week.

• No credit check and no interest on the lease; a $15,000 balloon payment comes due at the end.

• You pay for plates and registrations, the fuel card, physical damage insurance, Hwy 2290/IRP and IFTA reporting.

What you'll haul

• Dry van freight only, with about 70% drop and hook. Driver-assist loads are optional.

• About 70% of the freight comes from a steady customer, and the rest is brokered.

• No hazmat, and no Canada or Mexico runs.

• Loads cover the lower 48 states, with no forced dispatch.

Support and perks

• A support team in Michigan is available around the clock.

• Fuel, maintenance and tire discounts apply; fuel discounts vary with volume and franchise ownership of Love's/TA.

• Rider and one dog policies are available.

• This is a 1099 position with no company benefits, though you can buy extra coverage yourself.

Requirements

• A valid CDL-A and a valid DOT medical card attached to it.

• 3 months of recent, verifiable experience pulling 48-53 ft trailers.

• You must live in the hiring area: AL, AR, CT, DE, GA, IL, IN, IA, KS, LA, KY, MD, MA, MI, MN, MS, MO, NE, NH, NJ, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, VT, VA, WV or WI.

• SAP applicants are considered once Step 5 of the Return-To-Duty process is done; a C/TPA can be used to complete it.
