CDL-A Hazmat Regional Driver — Home Weekends

Deliver helium cylinders on a dedicated regional territory for established, repeat customers. You run the same general area each week and stay in hotels during the week, then head home every weekend.

Schedule

• This is a regional over-the-road route, not a home-daily position

• Leave out Monday morning and work through Thursday or Friday

• Expect 3 to 4 overnights a week depending on your zone

• Home every Friday

• Your territory has 4 zones, and you run one zone per week so your route stays consistent

Pay and bonuses

• Hourly pay plus overtime, with especially strong overtime potential from January through June

• Sign-on bonus of $3,000+ paid out in installments

• Safety bonus up to $2,000 per year for driving safely

What you will haul and do

• Deliver compressed helium gas cylinders to scheduled, repeat accounts

• Load, unload and swap out empty cylinders at the fill plant

• Run daily vehicle inspections and handle delivery paperwork to stay DOT compliant

• Work directly with regular customers to help manage their cylinder inventory

Requirements

• Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement

• At least 1 year of driving experience, or driving school completed within the last 4 years

• High school diploma or equivalent

• English proficiency sufficient to talk with the public, read road signs, respond to official requests and fill out reports

The job physically

• New tractor and trailer

• Regular lifting of 25 to 75 lbs, with occasional lifts of 76 to 100+ lbs

• Frequent bending, standing, walking, reaching and handling

• Outdoor work across a wide temperature range, from -10 to over 100 degrees

• Must be able to detect gas leaks from cylinders by sound or smell
