CDL-A Hazmat Regional Driver — Home Weekends, $3,000+ Sign-On Bonus

Run a dedicated regional territory hauling helium cylinders to the same repeat customers week after week. No cold calling for freight and no touch-and-go dispatch, just a consistent route and weekends off.

Schedule

This is a regional over-the-road route, not a home-daily position, but it follows a steady pattern.

• Leave on Monday morning and work through Thursday or Friday

• Spend 3 to 4 nights away each week, depending on your zone

• Be back home by Friday

• Rotate through 4 zones, one per week, so you stay in the same general area all week

• Stay in hotels rather than a truck sleeper

Pay and bonuses

• Hourly pay plus overtime, with heavier overtime opportunities from January through June

• Sign-on bonus of $3,000 or more, paid out in installments

• Safety bonus of up to $2,000 per year for safe driving

What you'll haul

You'll deliver helium compressed gas cylinders, a clean, non-flammable product, to scheduled repeat customers. The work includes loading and unloading cylinders, bringing empties back to the fill plant, running daily truck inspections, handling delivery paperwork, staying DOT compliant, and keeping up relationships with regular customers to help manage their supply needs.

Requirements

• Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement

• At least 1 year of driving experience, or completion of driving school within the last 4 years

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong enough English skills to talk with customers, read road signs, answer official questions, and fill out reports

The equipment and physical demands

• You'll drive a new tractor and trailer

• Regularly lift 25 to 75 lbs, and occasionally 76 to 100+ lbs

• Frequent bending, standing, walking, reaching and handling

• Work outdoors in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 100 degrees

• Need to be able to notice a gas leak by sound or smell
