CDL-A Fleet Driver — Night Shift — Home Daily — $23.80-$40.50/hr

CarMax is looking for a night shift CDL-A driver to move vehicles between CarMax stores and approved vendors in the Houston, TX area. You'll run routes designed to get you home every day in a company-provided hauler.

Pay

• $23.80 to $40.50 per hour

• Routes are built to bring you home daily

• Consistent, predictable schedule on night shift

What you'll haul

• CarMax vehicles moved between CarMax locations and approved vendors

• You'll load, secure, transport and unload vehicles, including hands-on freight work, climbing ladders, and working outside in all kinds of weather

• You're responsible for keeping your assigned truck clean, maintained and ready to run

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL issued by your state

• At least 21 years old with a valid driver's license

• 2+ years of Class A CDL experience (military heavy/medium tactical vehicle time counts), or 2+ years driving commercial motor vehicles for CarMax (non-Class A experience accepted)

• Clean driving record, no serious violations in the last three years, and must pass CarMax's Driver Safety Evaluation

• Able to meet DOT and FMCSA qualification standards

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and to pull, torque and tension chains, binders and straps to secure vehicles per FMCSA and CarMax standards

• Able to climb, bend and kneel to reach and secure vehicles on multi-level transport decks

• Comfortable working outdoors in noise and rough weather

• Good communication, teamwork and time management, following CarMax safety policies

Benefits

• Paid sick time, up to 48 hours a year, accrued each pay period

• Paid vacation, 80 to 200 hours a year depending on tenure, after a 90-day wait (full-time hourly or commission-eligible associates)

• 6 paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday each year, 8 hours of pay each; holiday premium pay if you work a scheduled holiday
