About this job
Our company, based in Indianapolis, IN, is hiring an experienced CDL-A flatbed and open-deck driver for regional runs with weekly home time. You'll haul open-deck freight, handle load securement, and work closely with dispatch.
Pay
- Percentage pay, up to 35% per load
- Typical weekly earnings range from $2,000.00 to $3,400.00, depending on loads
Home time
- Home weekly, with most routes back by the end of the workweek
What you'll haul
- Flatbed and open-deck freight requiring chains, binders, straps, and tarps for proper securement
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 2 years of flatbed/open-deck driving experience
- Able to drive a manual transmission
- Solid understanding of load securement methods
- Clean driving record meeting DOT qualifications
- Able to report to the Indianapolis operation as needed
Responsibilities
- Drive a Class A tractor-trailer safely with flatbed/open-deck loads
- Secure and tarp freight as needed
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow DOT/FMCSA rules, including hours-of-service
- Stay in contact with dispatch on scheduling and deliveries
- Keep equipment maintained and report issues promptly
