CDL-A Driver — Local & OTR Produce Hauling

Our company needs a dependable Class A CDL driver for their Post Harvest & Logistics team in Goodyear, AZ. You'll split your time between local runs and longer OTR trips, hauling freshly harvested produce to keep it moving on time.

What you'll haul

• Harvested agricultural products, moved between farm and delivery locations

• Local runs between Maricopa, AZ and Goodyear, AZ, plus transfers between other company sites

• OTR runs from Goodyear, AZ to Salinas, CA or Yuma, AZ, which can mean overnight stays and longer days away

Schedule

• No fixed daily start or end time; your hours shift with harvest timing, weather, customer orders and product availability

• Local assignments typically get you home each day

• OTR assignments may involve extended travel, overnight trips and changing routes on short notice

• You need to be comfortable with this kind of variability day to day

What you'll do

• Operate the truck safely under DOT and FMCSA rules

• Handle both local and OTR assignments as the schedule requires

• Load, unload and secure product, protecting its quality in transit

• Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep your logs, trip reports and delivery paperwork accurate using an ELD

• Confirm load and delivery details, and flag any delays, issues or vehicle concerns to your supervisor right away

• Keep your assigned truck clean and in good shape, working with the maintenance shop as needed

• Pitch in on post-harvest, yard or other operational tasks when you're not driving

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• Prior commercial driving experience

• Able to meet DOT requirements and keep your licenses and certifications current

• Good attendance record and reliability

• Comfortable working a schedule that changes from day to day

• Willing to take on both local and OTR runs

• Able to follow instructions, communicate clearly with your team, and complete required paperwork accurately

• At least 18 years old

Helpful but not required: experience hauling produce or refrigerated freight, load securement experience, ELD familiarity, and knowledge of DOT/FMCSA inspection rules.

Physical demands

Expect long stretches of sitting and driving, frequent in-and-out of the cab, bending and reaching to inspect and secure loads, occasional lifting up to 30 pounds, and working outside in all kinds of weather. You'll need to stay alert behind the wheel and meet DOT physical requirements.
