CDL-A Driver

This posting covers several CDL-A opportunities across trainee, local, regional, and OTR roles, mostly tied to USPS and dedicated freight accounts. The role you're offered depends on your ZIP code, your experience level, and the home time you want.

Pay and experience by role

• Trainee: approximately $700 weekly, open to drivers with less than three months of Class A experience, including brand-new CDL holders. Paid training is offered.

• Local: approximately $1,400 weekly, requires at least three months of Class A experience, home daily, with consistent routes and some dedicated accounts depending on your ZIP code.

• Regional: approximately $1,800 weekly, requires at least four months of Class A experience, home every few days or weekly depending on the account, with dedicated freight options.

• OTR dedicated: approximately $2,300 weekly, requires at least six months of Class A experience, offers dedicated freight and steady routes, but a tougher home time schedule. Hiring area is nationwide.

• OTR USPS: approximately $2,300 weekly, requires at least two years of Class A experience, hauling USPS contract freight on steady, year-round routes. Hiring reaches nearly every state and major city.

What you'll haul

The freight is mostly USPS contract work plus other dedicated accounts, largely drop-and-hook with little hands-on loading or unloading. Routes run consistently throughout the year.

Where you'll run

Most routes stay east of I-35, covering the Midwest, South, and Southeast. There's no West Coast freight and no New York City routes.

Equipment

Trucks are newer models from 2022 to 2026, kept in good working condition. Which truck you get depends on your account and what's available.
