CDL-A Delivery Driver — San Antonio, TX

Our company in San Antonio, TX needs a CDL-A driver to handle local pickups and deliveries of packaged goods, with about 15-20 stops a day. You'll also help load, sort and move freight at the warehouse.

What you'll do

• Run roughly 15-20 stops per day picking up and delivering product to customers and suppliers

• Secure cargo so it doesn't shift or get damaged in transit

• Keep your logbook current under state and federal rules

• Check your truck before trips (tires, lights, brakes, fluids)

• Stay in touch with dispatch or your supervisor for pickup and delivery details

• Collect payment and prepare receipts for deliveries when needed

• Verify quantities and accuracy of product picked up or delivered

• Run truck-mounted equipment like hoists and hydraulics

• Move materials between receiving, production and storage areas, and sort/shelve stock by size, type or code

• Pull orders and tag materials with the right identifying information

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• At least 21 years old

• Minimum 12 months of verifiable Class A driving experience

• Clean driving record, in line with DOT rules

• Forklift certification is a plus but not required

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Good customer service and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

Working conditions

Expect outdoor work in all weather, including heat, cold, humidity, noise, dust and vibration around moving equipment and vehicles. The job involves frequent lifting and carrying of 50-75 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 160 lbs with equipment, and handling skids up to 2,000 lbs with a pallet jack. You'll also regularly open heavy container and swing doors, operate a lift gate, climb in and out of the cab and trailer, and spend time standing, walking, sitting and occasionally stooping or kneeling.
