CDL-A Delivery Driver — $28.56/hr

Our company in Dallas, TX is looking for a CDL-A driver to deliver dairy products on an assigned route using a straight truck, tractor-trailer, or doubles rig. You'll handle deliveries to stores, warehouses and distributors, following the schedule set by your supervisor.

Pay

• $28.56 per hour

What you'll haul

• Dairy products and related assets delivered to customers, warehouses and distributors

• Deliveries placed inside coolers and walk-ins as needed

• Loading and unloading at stops using a 2-wheel cart or pallet jack; some routes may involve stocking or ordering product

Responsibilities

• Follow your assigned route and schedule unless told otherwise by a supervisor

• Drive safely and on time while following DOT and company rules

• Let management know right away about delays from traffic, accidents or breakdowns

• Keep customers happy and flag any issues to your supervisor

• Check and maintain your truck (tires, oil, fuel) and keep it clean

• Fill out logs, trip records and paperwork accurately every day, per DOT and company rules

• Check and record the condition of freight before you head out

• Attend required training sessions and use company systems and apps as directed

• Represent the company professionally with customers and others

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid Class A CDL; a doubles endorsement may be required depending on the route

• Licensed or permitted to drive for at least the past 3 years

• 2+ years of experience driving a tractor-trailer, straight truck or doubles rig within the last 5 years preferred

• Must meet minimum age requirements and DOT standards

• Clean motor vehicle record meeting company standards

• Comfortable with basic computer use and doing math for load calculations

• Strong communication skills, both spoken and written, in English

• Able to work with minimal supervision, stay organized, and keep accurate records
