CDL-A Dedicated Truck Driver — Average $1,871/Week

Our company is hiring a full-time Dedicated CDL-A Truck Driver to run known routes and customers, so you always know what to expect. This flatbed-style role involves hauling portable storage units with set lanes across the lower 48 states.

Pay

• Averages $1,871 a week (about $97,292 a year)

• Starting rate of 61 cents per mile

• $27 per stop, typically 6-9 stops weekly, each taking 30-60 minutes

• About 2,800 miles driven per week

• Extra pay for detention, breakdowns and layovers

• Company-sponsored per diem program

Home time

• Typically home Fridays, back out Mondays

• Expect to be out a minimum of two weeks, sometimes three

• Two weeks out earns two days home; three weeks out earns three days home

• A 34-hour reset is required while on the road

• Dispatch depends on freight location and availability, with some flexibility for preferred days off

• Drivers typically log 70 hours over 8 days

• Next day's schedule and delivery windows are provided in advance

What you'll haul

• Portable storage containers delivered to storage centers or hub locations

• You secure and strap the units; customers handle loading and unloading

• Routes cover all 48 contiguous states (excluding NYC deliveries), though you may pass through additional states

• This is an assigned sleeper truck position

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL

• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years

• Minimum age 21

• Must live within 100 miles of the terminal

• Clean driving history: no DUI/DWI or reckless driving in the last 5 years, no suspensions/revocations in 5 years, no more than 3 moving violations in 3 years, and no preventable DOT-recordable accidents in 3 years

• Able to lift up to 80 lbs and handle physical tasks like climbing on/off trailers and hooking/unhooking
