About this job
Our company is hiring Class A bulk tanker drivers to haul industrial gases to customer sites on over-the-road runs. You will move cryogenic products such as liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen, plus hydrogen tube trailers, with safety and DOT compliance front and center. Some deliveries may be to government facilities with extra background checks and security rules.
Pay
- The company says its OTR drivers average $145k a year
- Pay is deposited weekly
Schedule and home time
- 30/5 schedule with consecutive days off
- You will drive a sleeper truck; the company covers a hotel during new hire training and on your 34-hour break
What you'll do
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report them
- Drop and hook trailers when needed
- Hook up and disconnect transfer hoses and handle cryogenic tanks, hoses and fittings properly
- Watch pressure and temperature readings while unloading
- Keep hazmat shipping papers and records in line with DOT rules
- Flag vehicles that need repairs or maintenance
- Work well with internal teams and customers
Requirements
- 3 years of tractor-trailer experience, or 2 years of tanker experience
- Prior tanker and cryogenic experience
- Able to get a TWIC card
- Able to cross into Canada when asked
- High school diploma or GED
