CDL-A Container Truck Driver — $1,800–$2,200/Week

Our company in Houston, TX is looking for a CDL-A truck driver to haul container freight on regional and local routes. You'll run tractor-trailers and containers, keep deliveries on schedule, and handle freight safely from pickup to drop-off.

Pay

• $1,800.00 to $2,200.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Container freight only, moved on regional routes and local deliveries

• You'll use GPS to plan efficient routes and hit delivery windows

What the job involves

• Running pre-trip and post-trip checks on your rig and flagging any problems right away

• Keeping accurate logs covering your hours, inspections and completed deliveries, in line with DOT rules

• Loading and unloading freight correctly and safely, including care with any hazardous materials

• Staying in touch with dispatch on route changes, delivery progress and anything that comes up on the road

Requirements

• Class A CDL

• Solid background in commercial truck, delivery and route driving

• TWIC card

• Working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT rules, hazmat regulations and on-road safety practices

• Comfortable handling freight and cargo per standard logistics procedures

• Strong GPS and route-planning skills for over-the-road work

• Manual transmission experience preferred
