About this job
Drive dedicated container runs between Houston and DFW for an established contractor operating under Crane. You'll be home every day, running Monday through Friday with newer equipment and consistent miles.
Routes and schedule
- Dedicated lane hauling containers from the ports between Houston and the Dallas-Fort Worth area
- Port stops at Bayport in Pasadena, TX, and Barbours Cut in La Porte, TX
- Yards located near Rankin Road in Houston and in Irving, TX for DFW
- Typical start times fall between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- About 500 miles covered per day
- Optional Saturday dry van routes if you want extra miles
Home time
You return home daily, and you can be based out of either Houston or DFW.
Pay and bonuses
- Starting pay around $300 per day
- Extra $150 each week when you hit 2,800 paid miles
- $500 safety bonus paid quarterly
- $1,000 bonus for staying on
- Yearly profit sharing
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A
- TWIC card required
- At least 2 years of tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical card
- Clean driving record in good standing with FMCSA
