CDL-A Company Driver — $1,500–$2,100/Week, Dedicated Local Route

Our company in Islandia, NY is looking for a full-time CDL-A company driver for a dedicated, local route. You'll haul goods and materials on set runs, handling loading, unloading and basic truck checks along the way.

Pay

• $1,500.00 to $2,100.00 per week

Route and freight

• Dedicated, local route as a company driver

• May involve flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers and other trailer types

• Loading and unloading cargo, sometimes using forklifts or other heavy equipment

What the job involves

• Driving safely and following all traffic laws

• Planning routes and keeping deliveries on schedule

• Checking your vehicle for mechanical problems and doing basic upkeep

• Staying in touch with dispatch and customers about delivery timing

• Keeping accurate paperwork and logbooks

• Following company rules on safety, security and vehicle care

Requirements

• Valid CDL A with endorsements matching the equipment you'll run

• At least 1 year (12-18 months preferred) of commercial driving experience

• Clean driving record, free of major violations or accidents

• Comfortable with manual transmissions and operating different trailer types

• Able to run loading/unloading equipment

• Must pass a drug and alcohol test, including a follicle exam

• Strong navigation, communication and time-management skills, with close attention to detail
