CDL-A City Driver — $36.27/hr

Our company is hiring a City Driver in Odessa, TX to move freight between service centers and customers on local routes. This role pays $36.27 an hour.

Pay

• Starting rate of $36.27 per hour

What you'll haul

• General LTL freight moved between service centers and customer locations

• May operate doubles, triples, or straight trucks depending on need

• Some loads involve hazardous materials under DOT rules

Responsibilities

• Load, secure and deliver freight using pallets, straps, rope and equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks

• Hook and unhook trailers and dollies

• Run pre-trip inspections and keep equipment safe to operate

• Stay in touch with dispatch about delays, arrivals or mechanical issues

• Handle paperwork, collect payments when required, and build relationships with customers to support sales

• Step into dock or road driver duties when operationally needed

Requirements

• Class A CDL with doubles/triples, hazmat and tank endorsements (hazmat endorsement can be completed within 120 days of your offer)

• One year of driving experience in the last three years, or completion of our company's Driver Development Course

• Acceptable driving record and ability to meet DOT qualification standards

• Comfortable lifting freight up to 100 pounds regularly and handling physical tasks like bending, climbing and sitting for long stretches

• Able to work independently or as part of a team, follow instructions, and complete required training
