CDL-A Beverage Delivery Driver

Our company in Dothan, AL is looking for a CDL-A delivery driver to handle a set route, delivering and servicing beverage products to customers. You'll work solo, operating a commercial vehicle and managing the full delivery process from load to invoice.

Pay and schedule

This is a salary-exempt role (not eligible for overtime), typically averaging 40-50 hours a week. You'll log your hours through the company's time and attendance system for DOT compliance.

What you'll do

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking load security, inventory, pallet jacks and sleds

• Follow your route, deliver and rotate stock, and collect empties, damaged goods or out-of-code product

• Handle invoicing and payment collection, and follow procedures for refused or undelivered stops

• Keep your truck and trailer clean, and complete end-of-day tasks like reconciling accounts receivable and inventory

• Level loads during the day to reduce breakage, and flag any delivery issues to the Sales Rep

• Show up reliably, maintain a professional appearance, and help meet retailer satisfaction goals

• Join company and team meetings, and complete ongoing training including BrewU safety and job courses

Requirements

• Class A CDL in good standing, current per DOT rules

• Clean driving record with no major violations for at least the past 60 months

• ABC Permit for transporting alcoholic beverages

• 3-5 years of experience delivering or distributing goods

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong communication and customer service skills, basic computer literacy, and a smartphone with a data plan to run delivery software

• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted repeatedly through the day, and move up to 165 pounds with a hand truck or similar equipment

• Comfortable with regular standing, walking, climbing, bending and reaching

Work environment

You'll be around moving vehicles and equipment both on the road and at customer sites, with noise levels ranging from quiet to loud. Training is provided to help you recognize and avoid on-the-job hazards.
