CDL-A/B School Bus Driver — $35/hr, $2,000 Sign-On Bonus

Join a school bus company based in Brooklyn, NY that moves over 1,500 students daily across Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx. This full-time role comes with guaranteed weekly hours and a sign-on bonus.

Pay

• $35/hour, with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week on school days (pay listed elsewhere as $34.00-$35.00 per hour)

Home time and schedule

• Full-time position with guaranteed hours

• Bus yard is in Brooklyn, NY; routes run through Queens and Manhattan, with the school located in the Bronx

What you'll do

• Drive students safely to and from school on time along assigned routes

• Keep order and enforce safety rules while students are on board

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip bus inspections

• Log mileage, fuel use, and ridership accurately

• Stay professional with students, parents, school staff, and coworkers

• Follow all traffic laws, safety rules, and company procedures

• Help out field managers or other drivers as needed

• Have basic mechanical know-how

Requirements

• Valid New York CDL (Class A or B, per one part of the listing; CDL B specifically required per another) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements

• Clean driving history, free of major violations or accidents

• Must pass a drug test

• At least 2 years of school bus driving experience

• Familiarity with the Manhattan, Queens, and Bronx areas

• Courteous, professional manner with staff and passengers
