CDL-A/B OTR Driveaway Driver — $0.72–$1.55/mi + Fuel Surcharge

Our company contracts independent drivers to move units over the road nationwide. You pick the loads that fit your schedule, running solo (despite the company name, there's no team driving here) as a 1099 independent contractor, not a company driver or owner-operator.

Pay

• $0.72 to $1.55 per mile plus a fuel surcharge for most divisions, with exact rate depending on load and division

• Same-day pay once your paperwork and logs are submitted and approved

• Extra bonus pay available: referral, clean inspection, mileage, load, and safety bonuses

Schedule and routes

• You choose your own loads, but need to complete 3 to 5 loads per month to stay active

• Typical runs span 300 to 800 miles depending on customer needs

• Check in with dispatch at least weekly, even between loads

• Divisions include Singles, New Deck, Used Deck, and Boom

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A or Class B; deck positions need a Double/Triple (T) endorsement

• At least 1 year of verifiable OTR commercial driving experience in the last 3 years (2 years plus 1 year of decking/un-decking experience for deck positions); rideshare or delivery app driving doesn't count

• Reasonably clean driving record and steady work history

• Able to supply DOT numbers from past employers and proof of companies hauled for over the last 3 years

• Solid understanding of DOT hours-of-service rules and daily electronic logging through the Motive app (no paper logs)

• Your own tools and equipment for decking and un-decking

• Timely paperwork submission and strong communication with dispatch

• On-time arrival for every pickup and delivery, with a professional attitude

• Use of MacroPoint for real-time load tracking

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections logged for every load, with photo documentation

• You cover your own fuel and should keep at least a quarter tank during transport

• Escrow, occupational/accidental insurance, and deductible buy-back insurance are required (details provided during application)
