CDL-A/B Local Delivery Driver — $25.20–$30.24/hr

Our company's in Webster, NY is hiring a local delivery driver to haul and deliver merchandise to customer homes while handling loading, unloading and basic installation support.

Pay

• $25.20 to $30.24 per hour

• Full-time

Schedule

• Full-time hours generally run 39 to 40 per week, with part-time around 25 hours per week; more hours may be needed depending on store demand

• You'll need to be available mornings, afternoons and evenings any day of the week

• Typical work days are Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed

What you'll haul

• Deliveries go to customer homes and job sites within the district, with occasional trips outside the district

• You'll confirm delivery details with customers, decide where items go, load and unload merchandise, and help with installation when needed

• The job also includes vehicle inspections and following safety procedures during loading, unloading and delivery

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Valid DOT medical certificate, or able to get one after hire

• Clean driving record per company standards

• Able to read, write and do basic math

• Comfortable with DOT and CDL rules

• Able to lift at least 25 pounds unassisted, and more with help if needed; job involves standing, sitting and other physical tasks

Preferred but not required:

• 3 months running a forklift or Moffett for loading/unloading

• 1 year driving a semi-truck/trailer, or a driving school certificate

• 6 months in home delivery or retail customer service

If your state or city requires a salesperson license for this role, you'll need to get licensed or pass the exam within 60 days of starting.
