Box Truck Driver — From $25/hr

Our company is hiring a Box Truck Driver in Jamaica, NY to handle freight deliveries on local and over-the-road routes. The role involves driving a box truck, sometimes with refrigerated trailers, and occasionally handling flatbed or tanker loads, including hazmat shipments.

Pay

• From $25.00 per hour

What you'll haul

• General freight in box trucks, including refrigerated trailers

• Auto parts, hazardous materials, and dangerous goods per FMCSA rules

• Flatbed or tanker loads as needed

Responsibilities

• Operate box trucks safely on OTR and local routes

• Plan routes using GPS navigation

• Load, unload, and secure cargo by hand

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• Keep accurate delivery and driving logs

• Coordinate with dispatchers and customers

Requirements

• Proven commercial truck driving experience with tractor-trailers or box trucks

• Prior delivery/route driving experience

• Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operation preferred

• Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and hazmat regulations

• Comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles

• Experience with GPS and route planning tools
