Box Truck Driver — $1,200–$1,900/Week

Our company in Farmers Branch, TX is looking for a driver to handle freight deliveries on a mix of routes. The posting describes work with box trucks as well as larger rigs, so you may be asked to run different types of equipment depending on the load.

Pay

• $1,200.00 to $1,900.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Freight moved on over-the-road routes, with stops that may include refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialty units like roll-off or dump trucks

• Some loads may include hazardous materials, handled under required hazmat safety rules

Day-to-day duties

• Run pre-trip checks covering brakes, lights, tires, fluids and load securement before each trip

• Load and unload cargo by hand or with equipment like forklifts, making sure everything is secured for transport

• Plan and adjust routes using GPS to hit delivery windows

• Keep accurate records of pickups, deliveries and cargo handling

• Follow FMCSA and DOT rules at all times, including hazmat regulations when applicable

Requirements

• Solid background driving commercial trucks on varied delivery routes

• Comfortable with manual transmission vehicles and manual freight handling

• Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat regulations

• Confident using GPS systems for navigation and route changes

• Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, forklifts or dump trucks is a plus

• Background in OTR or local freight logistics is a strong plus
