About this job
Our company in Etobicoke, ON is looking for AZ licensed drivers for a mix of local, regional, and international runs. No experience is necessary since training is provided, though mountain driving background is a plus.
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailer units carrying general freight and dangerous goods under applicable regulations
- Light and special-purpose trucks as needed
Responsibilities
- Complete full pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip vehicle checks (tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, safety gear)
- Handle basic maintenance tasks like brake adjustments and minor roadside fixes
- Work solo or as part of a team/convoy depending on the run
- Load, unload, and secure freight, including tarping
- Manage customs paperwork, permits, and international documentation
- Track mileage, fuel use, Hours of Service, and cargo records
- Occasionally collect or deliver payments tied to freight
Requirements
- Valid AZ Class licence
- Air Brake (Z) endorsement
- Comfortable with physical demands like loading and tarping
- Mountain driving experience is a plus but not required
- New drivers welcome — company provides training
