Ideal Logistics needs an experienced AZ driver to run a regular short-haul route between Toronto and Montreal, handling freight safely and keeping deliveries on schedule.
Pay
- Starting at $5,000 a month
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailer freight moved on the Toronto to Montreal corridor
- Up to 4 round trips depending on operational needs, averaging about 3,000 miles weekly
Responsibilities
- Follow set pickup and delivery schedules and routes
- Load securing and careful handling to avoid damage
- Pre- and post-trip inspections, with reporting of any mechanical issues
- Light vehicle upkeep or repairs when needed
- Keep records of mileage, fuel, hours of service and deliveries
- Stay in contact with dispatch about delays or traffic
- Treat customers, shippers and receivers professionally
- Follow all transportation laws and safety policies
- Keep the assigned truck and trailer clean
Requirements
- At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Valid AZ license with a clean record
- Regional or short-haul background is a plus
- Willingness to run the Toronto-Montreal lane regularly
- Air brake endorsement preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge a plus
