About this job
Our company is growing its Intermodal team and looking for licensed tractor-trailer drivers to haul containers between the Port of Montreal area, railyards and customers across eastern Ontario and Quebec. You'd be hired directly as a company driver, running out of Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC.
What you'll haul
- You'll move loaded containers from Montreal's port and rail yards to customers or drop lots, then head back with empty or loaded containers.
- Most stops are live unload, and you'll often stay hooked to the same chassis for multiple days in a row.
- Expect time in busy, congested rail yards around large equipment, so safety and patience matter here.
- Freight is no-touch, and there's no slip seating or border crossing involved.
Schedule and home time
- You'll run Monday through Friday in a sleeper berth truck and be back home in Vaudreuil-Dorion on weekends.
- Note: the posting also mentions daily home time elsewhere, so check with our company directly on what to expect.
Pay
- Compensation blends mileage and hourly pay, plus bonus programs.
- Estimated gross annual earnings range from $63,000 to $89,000.
- You're paid bi-weekly through direct deposit.
Requirements
- You need at least one year of verifiable Class-1/AZ driving experience in Canada or the US; more than a year is preferred.
- You must hold the right license for and be comfortable driving a 13-speed manual transmission.
- Experience working at Montreal's ports is a plus, though not required.
Benefits
- Company benefits start on your first day.
- You'll get paid one-on-one training in the cab.
- Dispatches are kept safe and legal, and the company's strong ELD compliance record helps you move through scales with fewer delays.
- This is steady, full-time work with a company that has earned recognition as a 2026 Best Fleet to Drive For and 13 years running as a Top Fleet Employer of Distinction from Trucking HR Canada, along with a strong CVOR safety rating.
Our company is an equal opportunity employer committed to a fair, inclusive workplace for everyone.
