About this job
This full-time, permanent role based in Courtice, ON has you moving heavy construction machinery such as excavators, dozers and loaders using a float (heavy haul low boy) trailer. On days when floating isn't needed, you'll also run a tri-axle dump truck. Monday to Friday, day shift.
Pay
- $35.00-$37.00 per hour
What you'll haul
- Heavy equipment like excavators, dozers and loaders on a low boy/float trailer
- Occasional tri-axle dump truck work
What you'll do
- Load, secure and transport machinery between yards and active jobsites using chains, binders and straps
- Plan routes around weight limits, clearances and oversize/overweight permit rules
- Complete required pre-trip inspections
- Keep accurate paperwork for office invoicing
Requirements
- Valid AZ license with a clean driving abstract
- At least 5 years of experience with float/heavy haul trailers
- Skilled at chaining and binding heavy loads, and familiar with oversize load rules and escort needs
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Able to drive manual transmission
- Reliable, safety-focused and a strong problem solver
