26FT Box Truck Driver — Nationwide OTR — 22% of Gross + Bonuses

Our company, an owner-operated trucking company based in Phoenix, AZ, is looking for an experienced 26-foot box truck driver for nationwide over-the-road work. This is a 1099 independent contractor role paid as a percentage of truck gross, not an entry-level position.

Pay

• You earn 22% of the truck's weekly gross linehaul revenue

• Performance bonuses: $100 for $6,500-$7,499 weekly gross, $200 for $7,500-$8,499, $300 for $8,500+

• Extra $300 bonus for voluntarily running four consecutive weeks OTR

• Example: at $8,500 weekly gross in a qualifying fourth week, total pay could reach about $2,470

• Pay is weekly; actual earnings depend on freight availability and are not guaranteed

• Weekend layover pay: $60/day up to $120 for Saturday and Sunday, or a company-paid hotel up to $60/night

Home time

• Preferred schedule is 3 weeks on the road, 1 week home

• You can choose to stay out 4+ weeks for the extra bonus

• About 7 days notice requested for planned home time

• No guaranteed weekly home time; truck is based out of Phoenix, AZ

What you'll haul

• 26-foot box truck freight across the continental US

• Often multiple partial loads combined to maximize truck revenue, requiring pallet jack and liftgate work, freight repositioning, and securing with straps and load bars

Requirements

• Proven 26-foot box truck driving experience

• Clean motor vehicle record with no pattern of preventable accidents

• Strong backing, turning, and clearance awareness

• Comfortable with pallet jacks, liftgates, and handling partial loads

• Able to use paper logs and operate an ELD when required

• Must follow DOT hours-of-service and drug/alcohol rules

• Comfortable with nationwide travel and being away 3+ weeks at a time

• Company provides the truck and fuel

• A refundable equipment damage escrow is proposed: $100/week for 20 weeks, up to $2,000, returned per the written agreement

• Smoking and vaping allowed if the truck is kept clean; no marijuana use or possession in company vehicles
