About this job
Our company, a retail and architectural design supplier in North York, ON, needs a combined warehouse and driving hand. You'll split your time between filling orders in the warehouse and running local deliveries in a company vehicle.
What you'll do
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders, including loading pallets securely and loading orders into clients' vehicles
- Drive a 2500 Sprinter or 195 Hino truck to deliver goods to various locations, including long-distance trips
- Keep accurate shipment paperwork and use electronic logging devices
- Check and maintain the truck, and keep it and the loading area clean
- Operate reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts (license required)
- Help with inventory counts and order fulfillment, and work with the team to keep warehouse operations running smoothly
Pay
$23.00-$25.00 per hour
Requirements
- Valid driver's license (commercial license with a clean record)
- Licensed to operate reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts
- Experience with electronic logging devices
- Background running a Sprinter 2500 and Hino 195
- Solid grasp of warehouse, shipping and receiving procedures
- Basic mechanical know-how for routine vehicle upkeep
- Comfortable lifting heavy items and handling physical work
- Understanding of transportation safety rules
- About 3 years of warehouse distribution experience preferred
- High school education preferred
- English required
