Truck Driver — Heavy Equipment Delivery

Our company is hiring a Truck Driver in Astoria, NY to move construction materials and heavy equipment to and from job sites. You'll handle both commercial and non-commercial vehicles while keeping safety and documentation on point.

Pay

• $34.58 per hour, union rate

What you'll haul

• Assorted construction materials and heavy equipment, secured with chains, straps, and binders per DOT rules

Responsibilities

• Deliver, retrieve, and transport equipment safely and on schedule

• Complete DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• Keep delivery paperwork ready for review

• Stay in contact with your branch manager or dispatch about routes, delays, weather, and traffic

• Represent the company well with customers

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 1 year of verifiable driving experience, or a valid CDL

• Current DOT medical card

• Experience with trailer towing, rollback, hauling, or operating construction equipment is a plus

• Comfortable lifting 50+ pounds and doing physical tasks like bending, climbing, and reaching
