Our company in Calgary, AB is looking for a truck driver to handle deliveries on both long and short routes. You'll be hands-on with loading, paperwork and customer contact, not just driving.
What you'll do
- Drive heavy-duty trucks on assigned routes while following traffic laws and safety rules
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
- Load and unload freight, which can involve heavy lifting
- Keep delivery logs and shipment records accurate
- Stay in contact with dispatch, customers and teammates to coordinate drops and sort out any issues
- Pitch in on warehouse work when needed, including moving freight
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean record
- Experience operating large trucks or similar equipment
- Comfortable with regular heavy lifting
- Good grasp of traffic laws, safety rules and route planning
- Strong communication skills
- Physical stamina for long days combining driving and manual work
- Open to varying shifts, including early mornings or weekends
