Grimshaw Trucking's Highway Division is hiring owner operators who own their own truck to run freight across Alberta and the Northwest Territories, based out of Edmonton, Peace River or High Level.
Pay
You're paid by the mile depending on your equipment configuration: $1.96 for 5 axles, $2.02 for A Trains/Tridems, $2.19 for Rockys/Triples, and $2.44 for Turnpikes or Super B combinations. Miles driven in the NWT earn an extra $0.04 per mile. Annual earnings are estimated between $150,000 and $275,000.
What you'll haul
This is deck work with long combination vehicles — A Trains, Tridems, Rockys, Triples, Turnpikes and Super Bs. LCV training is provided if you're not already certified.
Requirements
You need a valid Class 1 licence and at least 3 years behind the wheel of a tractor trailer. You must own the truck you drive. A clean 5-year commercial driver's abstract (dated within the last 30 days) is required, along with passing a medical, drug and criminal background check. You should be comfortable with handheld technology, fluent in English, and able to keep a reliable schedule. Deck work experience and LCV certification are preferred but not mandatory.
