Tandem Dump Truck DZ Driver — $30.00-$34.00/hr

Our company in Gloucester, ON is looking for an experienced DZ driver to run a tandem dump truck on an hourly rental basis. You will work directly on customer job sites, so a professional, courteous approach matters as much as safe driving.

Pay

• $30.00-$34.00 per hour

What you'll haul

• Aggregates, soil, construction materials and equipment

• Work takes place on construction sites, residential properties and public roads

What you'll do

• Operate a tandem dump truck safely and secure loads properly per regulations

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep accurate records

• Keep the truck clean and report any mechanical or safety issues right away

• Stay in contact with dispatch, supervisors, customers and site crews

• Work carefully around customer sites, keeping disruption low and the area tidy

• Pitch in on other tasks as needed to keep operations running

Requirements

• Valid DZ licence (an AZ licence is a plus)

• At least 5 years running a tri-axle or tandem dump truck

• Clean driving abstract and solid safety history

• Understanding of relevant transport and vehicle safety rules

• Construction, excavation or aggregate hauling background preferred; knowing Ottawa-area quarries is a bonus

• Comfortable working solo or alongside a team, with good communication and customer-facing skills
