Student DZ Operator — Highway Maintenance Training

Our company Highways is offering a fully funded path for entry-level candidates to upgrade from a G license to a DZ license and join their winter and summer highway maintenance operations in Ontario. You'll get paid training to become a snowplow operator, with potential for full-time or seasonal work afterward.

Pay

• $20.00–$33.50 per hour, with your exact rate set by certification level, experience and work location

• Site-based roles may also get travel and accommodation allowances

What you'll do

• Operate highway maintenance equipment including snowplows

• Work through shift rotations, on-call periods and night shifts

• Work outdoors in a range of weather conditions

Requirements

• At least 18 years old

• Hold an unrestricted Class 5 license with a clean driving abstract

• Pass the MTO medical exam and vision screening needed for an AZ/DZ license

• Able to lift 50 lbs and handle physical tasks like bending, kneeling and crouching

• Willing to live in camp and work on a rotational schedule

• Commit to a minimum length of employment once approved
