Straight Truck Owner Operator — FAST Card Required — Cross-Border Freight

Our company is bringing on Straight Truck Owner Operators near London, ON to run on their open-board fleet. You'll need your own truck and a FAST Card for cross-border work with an established carrier.

Pay

• $1.50 CAD per loaded mile

• $0.50 CAD per empty mile

• Expect around 1,400-1,600 miles weekly total, though this shifts with how much freight is available

What you'll haul

This is open-board freight, not a dedicated or local run. Loads move across the border, mostly covering Ontario, Michigan and the broader U.S. Midwest, Pennsylvania and New York, with other regions added depending on demand.

Equipment and requirements

• Straight truck equipped with barn doors and an ICC bumper (no liftgate)

• Truck model year 2023 or newer... actually, 2023 or older

• A FAST Card is mandatory

• Valid D license

• Truck must be dependable and in good condition

• Clean safety history and a professional approach to the work

Support from TST

• Truck plates supplied

• TST covers tolls, except the Highway 407 ETR

• Fuel cards through Esso, Comdata and SuperPass

• RFID access for the Ambassador Bridge

• Enrollment in the DTOPS customs transponder program

• Qualcomm satellite tracking system

• Access to the NAL Fleet Program

Owner operator costs

• Insurance runs 2% of gross revenue, with a $40/week floor

• Escrow deposit of $1,800 CAD

• Qualcomm fee of $35/week

• NAL Fleet Program charge of $125.68/month

• DTOPS transponder fee spread across four settlement payments
