About this job
Our company needs a full-time Shuttle Driver to run freight between the Grande Prairie/Clairmont, AB facilities. You'll drive a non-articulated shuttle vehicle and handle the loading, unloading, scanning and sorting of packages, with your own schedule and a steady hourly wage.
Pay
- $22.30 an hour
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- You're back home every day
What you'll haul
You'll be moving company freight between facilities, handling packages that get checked for size and weight and sorted by service type and destination. Most days are routine, but around 10% of the time you may be called on for an urgent pickup or delivery.
Day-to-day duties
- Load and unload vehicles and containers
- Check packages for correct size and weight
- Sort freight by destination and service type
- Scan shipments with tracking devices
- Keep your vehicle clean and handle basic upkeep
Requirements
- A valid Class 5/Class G license with no restrictions and a solid driving history
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs on your own, or up to 150 lbs with assistance
- Completion of company training is required
- French and English fluency needed if the position is based in Quebec
