Seasonal DZ Snowplow Driver — $29.22/hr

Our company needs DZ-licensed (or equivalent) drivers to run tandem or triaxle snowplows, or combo plow/spreader trucks, for winter highway maintenance around Gravenhurst, ON. This is seasonal work with set hourly pay.

Pay

• $29.22 per hour

What you'll do

• Run a spreader, plow wing, or combo unit on highways during winter conditions

• Handle pre-trip checks and keep records of fuel use and winter operations

• Load the truck yourself once trained

• Operate other heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes and skid steers, plus hand tools like chainsaws and steamers

• Take care of basic upkeep and small repairs on your equipment

• Stay in contact with your supervisor and crew, and report any incidents or violations right away

Schedule

• Shift work that can include nights and weekends

• Must be available for regular on-call shifts

• Outdoor work in all kinds of weather, with travel between sites

Requirements

• Valid DZ license (or equivalent) with a clean CVOR, which you must keep current

• OTM Book 7 training is a plus, as is prior experience with highway plowing

• Strong focus on safety for yourself and others

• Able to work independently with minimal oversight

• Clear communicator, both spoken and written

• Physically able to stand, bend, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
