Seasonal DZ Snowplow Driver — $29.22/hr

Our company needs DZ-licensed (or equivalent) drivers to run tandem or triaxle plow trucks, including combo plow/spreader units, for the upcoming winter season in Cartier, ON.

Pay

• $29.22 per hour

• Eligible for paid overtime

What you'll do

• Run a spreader, wing plow, or combo unit on highways during winter conditions

• Handle pre-trip checks and keep accurate logs of fuel use and winter operations

• Load the truck yourself once trained

• Operate other heavy machinery as needed, such as loaders, backhoes, and skid steers

• Use hand tools like chainsaws, steamers, and gas-powered equipment when required

• Take care of basic equipment upkeep and small repairs

• Stay in contact with supervisors and coworkers to keep things running smoothly

• Flag any accidents, incidents, or violations right away

Schedule

• This is seasonal, year-round work is also available

• Hours vary and can include nights, weekends, and shift work

• You'll need to be on call on a regular basis

• Work happens outdoors in all kinds of weather, and you may travel between sites

Requirements

• Valid DZ license or equivalent, with a clean CVOR, that you can keep current

• OTM Book 7 training and prior plowing or highway maintenance experience are a plus, not mandatory

• Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight

• Reliable, hardworking, and safety-focused

• Able to follow directions and communicate clearly, both speaking and writing

• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, plus stand, bend, reach, climb, and carry loads
