About this job
Our company is hiring a seasonal courier in Brandon, MB. You will pick up and deliver packages on an assigned route for up to 12 weeks, depending on business needs.
Pay
- $23.28 an hour.
Schedule
- Temporary role of up to 12 weeks.
- Monday to Saturday, with a 7:00 am start time.
- Shifts can vary with business needs.
What you'll do
- Drive an assigned route, collecting and delivering packages safely while representing the company professionally.
- Load your van, plan an efficient route and keep packages, equipment and vehicles secure.
- Review shipments for correct labelling and paperwork, and report stop counts and missorts.
- Enter accurate information into the tracking and dispatch systems.
- Answer customer questions about services and pass any sales leads to the sales team.
- Depending on workload, you may also help load or unload aircraft and containers and sort and scan packages.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- No experience needed; a year of customer service is preferred.
- Valid driver's license (for example Class 5, G or 1 [AZ]).
- Two or fewer violations and/or accidents in the 24 months before you apply.
- Pass required testing, training and driver competency assessments.
- Comfortable working in a PC Windows environment.
