Class 1 Delivery Driver — $85,000–$90,000 a Year

Our company in Winnipeg is hiring a Class 1 delivery driver to bring beverages, snacks and grocery products to customers across Northern Manitoba, Northern Saskatchewan and Ontario. The posted pay is $85,000–$90,000 a year.

What you'll do

• Drive deliveries to customer locations safely and on schedule

• Check your vehicle's mechanical, safety and emergency equipment before heading out

• Report any defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage

• Handle basic maintenance (oil, fuel, radiator fluid) and emergency roadside fixes such as tire changes, bulbs, chains or spark plugs

• Verify load paperwork is complete and accurate, and look the truck and trailer over after unloading

• Get the customer's signature on the invoice as proof of delivery

• Keep the vehicle clean, follow company safety rules and DOT regulations, and work overtime when needed

Requirements

• 5 years of verifiable Class 1 highway driving experience

• 2 years of verifiable 5 ton delivery experience with a Class 5 licence

• Clean commercial driver's abstract and criminal record search

• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and hand-bomb product into stores

• Professional attitude and appearance, good time management and strong customer service skills

• The job involves noise, dust, odors, fumes and oils
