About this job
Our company in Greater Sudbury is hiring a seasonal courier driver for up to 12 weeks, working a route-based pickup and delivery schedule.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Temporary position, up to 12 weeks based on business needs
What you'll do
- Pick up and deliver packages on an assigned route
- Check shipments for proper labelling and compliance with FedEx service standards
- Load the van and plan your route for efficient delivery
- Use computerized tracking and dispatch systems
- Answer customer questions about FedEx services
- Identify potential sales leads for the sales team
- May help load or unload aircraft or containers as needed
Requirements
- Valid G license (or equivalent class 5/1 AZ)
- High school diploma or GED
- No driving experience required; a year of customer service experience is preferred
- Clean driving record with no more than two infractions or accidents in the past 24 months
- Must pass a driving evaluation and interview
