About this job
Our company is hiring a Roll Off Truck Driver in North York, ON to handle local waste and recycling collection using heavy collection equipment.
What you'll haul
- Residential waste and recycling materials via Roll Off truck
- Operate hydraulic and compaction (packer) systems
Requirements
- Valid DZ or AZ license with a clean driver's abstract and CVOR
- At least 1 year of commercial driving experience, or graduation from an accredited driving school
- Ability to safely run heavy collection vehicles and packer systems
- Must meet all safety-sensitive role standards
- Reliable attendance and flexibility for early starts and overtime
Responsibilities
- Drive assigned collection routes safely
- Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections and trip logs
- Collect curbside waste and recycling on schedule
- Use proper technique to avoid damaging hydraulic equipment
- Report mechanical problems, hazards or incidents promptly
- Keep up productivity, service quality and a clean vehicle
- Follow traffic laws, municipal rules, safety policy and PPE requirements
- Work with helpers and terminal supervisors for smooth operations
